When searching for a male performer most qualifications would include:
- a super-jacked glistening body
- a sexy Australian accent
- the ability to flex both buttcheeks to the beat of AC-DC’s TNT.
Most qualifications overlooked:
- a great personality
- degree of humility
- a sense of humor.
Much to our delight we have found the performers of Thunder From Down Under meet all of these qualifications, and more. If you are not familiar with the Thunder, here’s a run-down on the highly acclaimed Vegas male-revue:
These wonderfully tanned men are a group of Australian imports who bring female fantasies to life through their choreographed dance routines. The show features characters ranging anywhere from Pirates of the Caribbean’s Jack Sparrow to pop legend Justin Timberlake. Girls scream and swoon over them twice a day/seven days a week in Vegas. We just so happened to stumble upon the show this March and enjoyed them so much we couldn’t pass up the chance to catch them while on tour in Chicago. We were determined to find the real men beneath the rippling biceps and chiseled features.
Prior to attending the show, we got to know two of the men on a more personal level. Both performers, Jono, 26, and David, 27 described themselves as “the-guy-next-door”. Most likely the neighbors you try and peek at through your window…They both grew up from humble beginnings deep in the heart of Australia and enjoy a relaxing round of golf. They were even a bit shy during the phone interview when we asked them what they may-or-may-not have been wearing.
They’ve had their fair share of crazy moments as well. Who can say they’ve done a beer bong in Hong Kong or been bitten in the face by an over-excited bride-to-be? Another tidbit: their drink of choice is of course, Patron (hell yeah - that’s all we’re going to say).
And yes, these men do enjoy women. We were tricky enough to tap into their unconscious with the word association game. A few that you may enjoy: milk-tasty, brunette-sexy, and thrust-hard… during a dance number, of course. When searching for a mate, they say a sense of humor is the most attractive attribute. Funny girls prevail!
You can't blame us for asking the (hypothetical) question: How does one go about being whisked onto the stage for a minute of pure Australian delight? While the boys professionally dodged this question, we can offer you ladies one tip: Scream, holler, and lock-in your favorite man with shameless eye contact.
One slow dance, lap dance, and twirl in the powerful biceps of an Australian later; the show was more than worth the price of admission. Caitlin may have even gotten an innocent peck after her on-stage performance, but she is a classy broad and doesn’t kiss-and-tell. Ladies, you will just have to venture out to Vegas or catch them on tour and experience the excitement for yourself. We guarantee your wildest fantasies will appear before your eyes- and if you don’t have a fantasy yet, you will. We promise.
PS. Did you know that “Boosh” is the slang word these men use for a pretty girl. Coincidence?? We think not!
