Despite the past few seasons being less than amazing, Saturday Night Live showed it still had a pulse during the election season and now they're desperately trying to keep you tuned in. While we didn't see Saturday's show, because like you we have a life, we did check in with hulu this morning to see the clips we missed. Paul Rudd hosted, and he's hilarious - so there had to be some good, right?
Justin Timberlake? First clip we found was from Justin Timberlake's surprise visit. The Big JT was supposed to host the Thanksgiving Special next week, like he did before when him and Samberg made the now infamous 'Dick in a Box', but had to cancel. So instead, he came on weekend update and does the entire show in two minutes. Pretty entertaining and while I wouldn't have tuned in next week anyway because Saturday nights are when I have fun not in my house, that Michael McDonald impression sounds incredible.
Digital Short: Everyone's a Critic One of the few hilarious things SNL has going for it is the made-for-youtube Digital Shorts. You can tell that Samberg and Rudd had a lot of fun this week, and that Andy was desperately bugging him every chance he could get on how he too could get in on the Judd Apatow machine rather than make another BS film like Hot Rod. The short is as random as it gets and mad props for the Indiana Jones reference towards the end.
Promos This clip wasn't even in the show, but rather features the :30 promos they shot pumping up the episode. That's right, we were hard pressed to find more hulu humor from this week and have resulted to reposting commercial teasers. But watch them and try not to laugh. Or Bro-out.
Male Leotards Always Funny "Dance biscuits" is a phrase that has now been added to my vocabulary. I will continue to use it in public decorum until I deem it no longer humorous. As much as guys like to hate on Timberlake, the guy is pretty hilarious and I challenge you to get ass at the bar without his help on the speakers. Going off of the age old adage that men in heels and leotards is always humorous, Timberlake, Samberg, and some other guy play the part of Beyonce's backup dancers. Hilarity ensues.
